Welcome from the Club Co-Presidents
We are so excited to be leading the Entrepreneurship Club for the 2015-2016 year! The amount of entrepreneurial spirit and the quality of the student start ups at HBS is higher than ever and is what motivates us to make this organization a truly additive part of the Harvard community of entrepreneurs.
We believe the role of the entrepreneurship club is to create a community of like-minded students to share the experience of being an entrepreneur. We do this through social events, such as happy hours in Harvard Square and hack hours in the iLab, and this year we are also launching a new program, Section S, an accelerator open to all club members working on a start up which provides more dedicated events, community and mentorship from others who are facing similar challenges and opportunities.
While we do bring in speakers and run some skill-building workshops, the role of the club is not to teach you how to be an entrepreneur, or how to code – there are tons of great resources across the University and in greater Boston for that – but to give you a community of people who can help motivate and inspire you. We also run an annual conference, SPARK, our flagship event which runs for a full day in November and brings in dozens of established entrepreneurs and VCs to talk about their experiences.
We feel privileged to be leading the entrepreneurship club and welcome any and all feedback from the fantastic and talented community of HBS entrepreneurs from students to faculty and staff to alumni. We look forward to meeting you and supporting you and your company's growth in the months to come.
